Supplemental protein is
necessary for body builders, and also has the added benefits of
reducing hunger, which may lead to lower weight, and improvement in
diabetes and heart disease symptoms. Recommended amounts of dietary
protein are underestimated for serious athletes, and the added protein
can decrease the effects of over-training and help to balance out
metabolism. Egg protein contains all of the essential amino acids and
is scored high on the PDCAA score and biological value. These two
scores tell you that egg protein is efficiently used by the body and is
an overall complete protein. The egg protein supplements are also low
in cholesterol and fat, generally, giving them an advantage over simply
ingesting eggs.
